[Capital city]

I just booked my flight to Canberra. Yes, I am actually flying! I was intending to take the train/bus, but when I went to make a reservation they told me they wouldn't recognise my concession card.

ie. my 100% valid government-endorsed Centrelink-provided Health Care Card. Nope, we won't recognise that.

Therefore, instead of $36 for the one-way trip, they were going to charge me $58 for EIGHT HOURS of transport hell. Help themselves, I told them I might as well fly.

So I've booked a flight, for July 1. It will take me just one hour to get there and I can arrive at 1:25pm instead of 8:25pm. All this convenience for just $93.17, plus the $13 or so it costs to get to the airport. Well worth the saving in time and increase in comfort, if you ask me.

[Highlands]

Like an oasis in the desert, new travel plans have arisen! And better still, they are twofold!!

Firstly, I will be taking a little bus trip up to Canberra. I've never visited our nation's capital, so it will be a good opportunity to explore before accompanying Melita on her move to Melbourne. What is it with me accompanying moving friends across this vast land?

The second piece of wonderful news is that I will be going skiing at Falls Creek! The booking process has begun, so there's no backing out now and I have no intention of finding a job before this glorious holiday. I am so excited, you cannot possibly even begin to understand.
